Kait's Seasonal Starbucks Drinks

Tell me I’m wrong… but there is just something completely magical about when the warm, summer air begins to get a bit more crisp. When you finally look around at the trees and notice that the once green leaves are turning into those fiery autumnal colors. Or, when you take your annual trip to the apple orchard to get some much needed apple cider and pumpkin donuts. But, there really isn’t anything that compares to the insanely lovely, amazing feeling of taking that very first sip of coffee in a new season. And guys, the season of pumpkins is upon us!

I am very much a creature of habit when it comes to coffee, but I love to find out everyone’s favorite coffee drinks so I can try them. I decided to get with Kait, our VP of Sales and Marketing, to find out what her favorite seasonal drinks were from Starbucks. Kait loves her coffee, but what she loves more is what coffee comes with the seasonal change. Check out her answers below to find out her favorite drinks!

Would you say that you have favorite seasonal Starbucks drinks, and why?
Yes! Changing of the seasons is really fun and fall is my favorite season, so it’s something to look forward to. It creates a vibe, ya know?

(She dipped into my second question)

Does having seasonal drinks help you kick off each new season?
Yes, because it puts you in the mood for the next season… even though it’s currently 96 degrees in Nashville.

Tell us your favorite drinks: spring /summer /fall /winter:

Spring: Classic Latte
Summer: Arnold Palmer— unsweetened Passion Tea with lemonade
Fall: Cold Brew with Pumpkin Cold Foam
Winter: Normally, I like everything iced, but past Black Friday and during ‘Red Cup Season’, I like Peppermint Mocha. BUT, I’m hoping that they come out with a cold brew that has Peppermint Mocha Foam. Wouldn’t that be genius!?

Out of those four seasons, which season would you say is your absolute favorite… you seem like you like the fall season and pumpkin flavor, the best. Do you agree and why?
Out of four seasons, fall season for fall drinks is my favorite. But, I’m Mother Christmas. (she says with a big grin and matter of fact hand signals)

Do you drink coffee at home? Or, do you view coffee more as a ‘treat’, than an obligatory morning/ afternoon pick-me-up?
Yes, I will drink coffee at home, but never finish it. I never really drink coffee in the afternoon as a pick-me-up because it doesn’t affect me. I drink it more as a treat.

Do you have any memories associated with coffee?
Actually, the first Starbucks drink I had was a Caramel Frappacino when I was 15. My friends and I would go after school and get one. Before that… my mom would let me get a cappuccino from the gas station, haha is that a bad thing to say?!

Fill in the black: I love coffee because______________________________________
I love the taste and genuinely love the smell because it helps get me out of bed.

So, there you have it! Kait, VP of Marketing and Sales just gave us a little skinny on her favorite seasonal drinks! Try some of them and let us know what you think. Or, let us know if there is other subjects you’d love for Kait to answer questions about.

I LOVE the pumpkin cream cold brew! That cold pumpkin foam is seriously to die for! I’m a major coffee lover and have worked in coffee for 10+ years before pursuing full time ministry with my church.

I love coffee not just for the flavor and the caffeine, but I love that it brings people together. “Let’s grab a coffee sometime” has become such a great place for real relationships and friendships to form versus an official business or date feeling of sharing a meal, and I love that coffee is the basis of that connection.

My husband ONLY drinks tea, but I’m still praying that he comes around. 😆 XOXO
