R+R Favorite Fragrances
I used to sit on our bathroom counter and watch my dad shave his face for church every Sunday morning. Then, he’d put on some Obsession for Men cologne and I can still recollect the smell if I think hard enough.
If you’re close to my age, then you’ll remember a time when everyone wanted to shop at Abercrombie and Fitch. But more than that, can’t you just remember walking into those doors? Large pictures of surfer dudes and chicks in front of you, the dark wood shutters, loud music and… the amazing smell?!
Well, because I love scents and fragrances to much, I wanted to find out what our ladies at Royal + Reese were wearing this summer. I asked a few of them as well as why they like the scents they had chosen. Here is what they had to say:
Tara: Kimoji Peach from KKW Kim Kardashian. “…it’s really fresh and light”. Tara also likes Jo Malone Orange Blossom because she loves citrusy scents.
Whitney: Issey Miyake as a year round perfume. “It just works well with my body chemistry- it’s nice and clean and not overly flowery”
Kait: Silver Mountain Water by Creed. “because it’s fresh and smells rich”
Alyssa: Nior 29 Le Labo. “It’s my favorite because it lasts all day and is a neutral scent.”
Jaiden: Chanel Mademoiselle. “because it smells good”
Libby: Le Labo Noir 29 “It’s unique and musky, yet feminine… and deep. Love the packaging and the unique way this company makes their perfumes! They are all gender neutrals and I love that since I don’t love floral/ too girly perfumes.”
Erica: Dior Joy. “It’s fresh but still sweet. I don’t love musky scents on myself, personally”
Tess: Dolce & Gabbana Light Blue. “Because it reminds me of summer!”
Amanda: Le Labo Tonka 25. “It’s warm, but also a little bit floral! I think they call it ‘woodsy but sweet!’”
Brittany: Le Labo Rose 31. “Because it’s musky and has more of a spicy scent instead of floral, despite its name.”
