Transitioning Your Wardrobe Into Spring
March. Ah, one of the longest months of the year. The month where it feels like time stands still and there’s only a few weeks left before spring is in the air. And while we’ve had warmer days you know that the weather is probably all a facade, even though you’re hoping that the sun will stay out and the warmer days are here to stay. But, we’re all in this together, so why not start to take a deep dive into last years spring pieces and see how you can transition your winter wardrobe into spring, while you cling to those 50 and 60 degree days. The tips I have for you are simple and there are only three.
- Blazer or trench coat - Depending on how cold it is where you are located, this is the perfect transitional piece to complete any outfit. You can wear a blazer over a top/blouse as a lightweight jacket. On the same token, you can wear a trench coat, open, over a springy dress to make you look fashionable, but also keep you warm. These two pieces are a must in your wardrobe and are great during the interim between seasons.
- Layering a chunky sweater with a skirt - This is one of my favorite outfits in the spring because my arms are always cold. You can take one of your favorite chunky knit sweaters and pair with a different textured skirt because mixing textures is really in and it looks girly and gives you such a flirty look. It’s perfect for the office or for date night and you won’t be cold because you’re all warm on top while the bottom is peeking spring wardrobe.
- Open toes/peep toes/chunky mule - Am I the only one that loves when it gets warmer… for shoe purposes!? I love no fuss shoes and that’s what spring means. Grab your favorite pair of denim, get a pedicure, and slip on those open toed shoes, girl! They’re perfect for keeping your feet warm but light enough that you’re not traipsing around in clonky winter shoes. And the best part? You get to get to show of those pedicured feet.
